No, they make the same fee regardless of the chapter filed generally. But they DO know the laws, and it seems that more and more that Ch 13 is what they recommend (if you have any income). Too many people have abused the Ch 7 bankruptcy laws by filing again and again every nine years. Now the courts want people to at least pay PART of their debt back, hence they have instituted what is called the ‘means test’.
